I’m Kate Daugherty, a functional medicine nutritionist exploring my own understanding of our human health. I want to share the life-changing power of nutrition and lifestyle. I believe in the power of food as medicine. I’ll help you live a more intentional life- empowering decisions that bring you satisfaction, purpose and joy.
Change starts with small steps. Once you start on the path, just keep walking. Whether you’re a total beginner, have some ideas but need better guidance, or are looking for new inspiration, my goal is to give your path some direction. I’m here alongside you learning, researching, and practicing in pursuit of the best version of myself.
I’m especially fascinated with the brain. I earned my B.S. in Neuroscience from Washington and Lee University and further pursued that niche by becoming a Neurophysiologist. I wanted a more preventative role in healthcare, so I went back to school to study Functional Medicine and Nutrition at the University of Western States. I earned my M.S. and opened a wellness clinic alongside some really great doctors, at The Facility Denver.
This blog is where I share recent recipes, wellness tips, lessons, and a bit of my life. I enjoy creating and exploring, so I appreciate this outlet to support those passions. While I consider it my side hobby, it really brings me a lot of joy to connect with new people. Thanks for following along on the katedaugherty.com journey.
My main passion is my clinical focus as a nutritionist. I see patients in-person in the Cherry Creek neighborhood of Denver, Colorado and also patients from all over the country via Telehealth. I help individuals look at root causes for health dysfunction through the lens of Functional Medicine. FOOD is healing power.
