Happy March! This month was always about celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with all things GREEN. However, I can’t help but think in a post-2020 world we now think of it as a pandemic-versary.
McDonald’s still rolls out their sugar-bomb Shamrock Shake. I’ve gone a different direction with my Lucky Green Smoothie with Oat Milk that is loaded with fresh, bright, cusp-of-spring flavors. No sugar added! For the ultimate sugar-free, clean, smoothie I use Willa’s Unsweetened Original Oat Milk.

“Lucky Green Smoothie” is a perfect quick breakfast or snack that will help you reach your micronutrient goals. Try this post-workout to replenish glycogen stores (with real fruit), excellent carbohydrates from oat milk, added protein and bioavailable minerals from seeds.
There’s room for substitutions here, but this is my go-to ingredient list:
-Flaxseeds, Hempseeds, or try Chia and Sesame Seeds!
